That is why we work so hard to make sure that they have a fair chance at life.

Here at our Animal Rescue Tulsa, we have a very strong vision and Mission that we are always trying to live out. We want to make sure that every dog is able to be in a loving and safe home. We do not want to continue the Vicious Cycle of having stray dogs have puppies, and then having to euthanize more dogs at the shelter. We want to stop this cycle by rescuing as many dogs as we can, spaying and neutering them, and helping them to find loving homes. In this way, we believe that we are going to be able to make a huge difference for the dogs in our community. We have already seen what a huge difference a few people who are dedicated to helping can make. We are so excited to partner with you.

Animal Rescue Tulsa | Twizzler’s Story
There are so many amazing and deserving dogs that come through our Animal Rescue Tulsa, and we feel that it is incredibly important to share their stories so that you can hear about what all is going on. We see so many lives changed through our ministry, and we want to continue seeing that change. One story that we would like to share with you today is twizzlers. Twizzler and his sister had a very difficult start in life. their mother was found as a stray, and they were born out in the wilderness. We had gotten reports that there were some puppies that were heard whining from under an abandoned house. This happened in north Tulsa, and so we made our way over immediately to see if we could help them. We got a group of people together, and we went to help them.
It is because of the volunteers at Animal Rescue Tulsa that we were able to make this happen. We need people just like you to come help us on our volunteer trips. they’re often times that we have to take rescue trips to go help dogs and abandoned places. Oftentimes these trips take us out of the city. We really need people with well functioning cars that are able to come and help us. If you have a good car that is able to drive to other cities around Oklahoma to save dogs and need, please let us know.
Thankfully Twizzler and his siblings were able to make their way to Animal Rescue Tulsa after being rescued from underneath an abandoned house. This was an extremely overwhelming rescue mission for us, because we could see just how sad these dogs had been and how relieved they were to be brought into proper care. After some rehabilitation, these dogs were able to thrive in their Foster homes. After several months of growing up in their Foster homes, they were eventually able to be placed for adoption in their forever home. Today Twizzler and Starburst are spending the rest of their lives at the same home that adopted them both. They are so happy and spoiled, and if it wasn’t for people like you, their story would not be possible.
